›How do I calculate a percentage of a number?
Multiply the number by the percentage and divide by 100. 15% of 200 = 200 × 15 / 100 = 30.
›How do I calculate percent change?
Divide the difference between the new and old value by the old value and multiply by 100. From 80 to 100 is a 25% increase.
›Why doesn't +10% and then −10% give the original value?
The discount is taken from the higher amount. 100 + 10% = 110 and 110 − 10% = 99.
